Where do you want to see A Different Day in a year? “Big. Big-time. As big as it gets-as big as we can get.”
What inspires you? Fans
What do you contribute to the band? “A lot of the music is me. Everyone puts in, but we’re mainly a guitar band. No lyrics.”
When did you know that you were meant to be a musician? “When I was three or four years-old. I started playing when I was 17ish, and I fell in love.”
What are you really thinking about when you are on stage performing? “About the next part coming up, or if I mess it up.”
What is your favorite aspect of being a member of A Different Day?
Best on-stage experience? “Herman’s Hideaway, April 22, 2003.”
Worst on-stage experience? “At the Hard Rock Café for the ‘Battle of the Bands’ semi-finals. One of my guitar strings broke, we couldn’t hear, etc.”
Favorite location to have a gig? “Herman’s Hideaway bar…they are all about music.”
What
is something about you that not too many people know? “That I’ve cut off my left
hand and had it put back on. I only have feeling in my pinky and ½ of my ring
fingers.”
What is up with the hair? “It grows until I can’t stand it, more or less.”
What are your personal goals? “To make a living off of music.”
What are your goals for A Different Day? “To make it big- big time. No small fries.”
What is your ideal amount of people to have watch a show? “As many as can fit. Thousands, 30,000.”
At which venue have you always aspired to have a show? “Invesco Field, Red Rocks.”
Where would you say lies your musical origin? “I’m self-taught, I’ve one two or three one-hour lessons, but mostly from magazines, cd’s, tapes, etc. I started playing after I cut my hand off.”
What is your greatest accomplishment? “Staying alive.”
